Security - Health & Safety
Since COVID-19 We have changed our entry policy. Parents are now dropping off & collecting from the Reception entrance at Wellies, or the main entrance for Superted's Barn. A member of the team will meet you & your child at the door and welcome your child to Nursery. After leaving you, we will take your child to wash their hands, before going to their base room for the day. When collecting we ask you to use the Q-Bell app to let us know you are here, or ring the door bell - a member of the team will bring your child to you, ensuring thier hands have been washed before handover.
We have a high regard for the safety of your child while in our care. The team now have access cards to avoid touch entry. Parents can now use the Q-Bell app from the comfort of your car and we will let you know when your child is ready to collect. Only the team are allowed full access to Wellies.
Any person involved with the care of your child will not disclose information about them or their family to a third party.
We are committed to effective controls on the spreading of illness & ask that you work with us in achieving this. Please view our revised Infection/illness policy following COVID-19 guidance.
In cases of sickness & diarrhoea you will be contacted for immediate collection & we ask you to ensure they have been symptom free for a minimum of 48 hours before they return to Nursery - please follow this in the event of illness at home. If your are unsure about any illness - please contact Wellies for advice - BEFORE bringing your child to Nursery.
Fire - we have regular fire drills - so that the children become used to the sound of the alarms. The building has an electrical smoke detection system - which is maintained byChubb Fire . In the event of non-return to the building, the children will be taken to the nearest place of safety - Orchard Farmhouse, the owners home which is within walking distance. A full contact list is kept there, so that collection can be arranged.
