What Makes Our Staff Different?

With National Apprenticeship Week 2022 happening just a few weeks ago, we felt that it was an appropriate time to reflect on our wonderful staff and what makes us stand out from the rest.
Apprenticeships are a fantastic way of nurturing emerging talent and developing a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce. This is something we proudly support at Wellies. Having a workplace culture that focuses on high quality staff who are nurtured and trained has resulted in a very low staff turnover since opening in 1989. We even have five members of staff who have been with us for over twenty years! This consistency is essential to any successful education setting – you know exactly what you’re getting with us, and we have a track record of excellent results. Any new members of staff are introduced to parents from day one to kickstart a strong relationship between them and the families they support which will continue to blossom as the children do.
As the famous saying goes, “teamwork makes the dream work” and that’s what we’ve found here at Wellies. This extends beyond working together as a team of staff and into working with you to create the best environment for your little one to learn, develop and thrive in. Our dedicated childcare team understand that each child is an individual who needs to be treated as such. Whether they’re six months old or ready for school, our practitioners support your child’s growth in our enabling environments by meeting the seven principles of the EYFS statutory framework.
We currently use EyLOG to track and observe children’s learning. This fantastic app allows parents to observe and comment on observations in real time and even upload their own content of exciting things that happen at home!
This allows your child’s key person to plan the next steps of learning too, so parents are always kept in the loop. We love this tool as it helps improve the communication and relationship we have with families and really get to know them as well as the child.
We’d like to just take a moment to thank our amazing team for all of their continued hard work and dedication towards providing the best learning environment for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers alike. We truly wouldn’t be able to improve and grow without them!
