Despite its challenges, we think that we have the best job in the world here at Wellies. We love giving children strong foundations on which they can learn, grow and develop into unique individuals. We’d like to share three reasons why we love working in this sector with you. 
 
Potty training can be a stressful time for the child as well as their caregivers. It can be difficult to tell exactly when your little one is ready for potty training but whenever they do start, it’s useful to know how best to approach it and what to avoid.  
 
To make things a little bit easier when encouraging your little one to use the potty, we’re giving you some dos and don’ts that are sure to help everyone! 
 
It can be very exciting when your little one starts speaking, you just never know what’s going to come out of their mouth next! It’s important to remember that each child will grow and learn at their own pace so please don’t worry if you think your child is behind on their language development.  
 
Of course, we’ll do all we can help at nursery and if you have any worries, please don’t hesitate to talk to us about them. However, you can help at home too. Here are three fun ways to help your little one’s speech develop.

Nearly a quarter of five year olds in England have tooth decay and tooth extraction is the most common reason for hospital admission in children aged 6-10. This problem is so big, Oral Health has been added to the EYFS, meaning your child will learn even more about how and why they should look after their teeth when they’re with us.

Off the back of the summer holidays, we’ve all indulged in an ice cream or two and some sugary drinks here and there and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, now’s the time to focus on your child getting the necessary nutrients for physical and mental growth and development. We know it can be a real pain getting children to eat their vegetables so we’re going to share some tips on how to work with your child to get them eating well.
